I value community involvement and giving underserved populations exposure to tech and design.

Teaching an Intro to UX Workshop through Girl Develop IT

Teaching tips and tricks to paper prototyping

Through Girl Develop IT, I co-taught two Intro to UX workshops. Participants came from a wide range of backgrounds and experience levels, all looking for a better understanding of UX design and research processes.

I've also volunteered my UX and design skills for nonprofits working to make Indianapolis a more inclusive and beautiful place to live, including Open for Service and Friends of Ellenberger Park

I also value a diverse and inclusive work culture.

At OurHealth, I worked with our Executive Chairman to make OurHealth part of the Out & Equal Indiana chapter. At Salesforce, I was the Communications Coordinator for the Indiana chapter of Outforce, an employee resource group for LGBTQ employees and allies. I was also a member of BOLDforce, whose mission was to expand and empower the Salesforce black community.

At home, I value family (human and animal), music, and exploration.

My wife and I have 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a goldfish. When we're not hanging out at home, we're either exploring Indianapolis or going to concerts. I also like to use my Photoshop skills for important projects like Olan Mills-style portraits for my pets.
